drivers door hit |
This was an awesome car. The rear was as tough as anything. I got hit in the front on the 2nd hit so i ran
most of the heat with no radiator or fan. The front bumper ended up hanging down after the welds broke so it wasn't
of much use. When it was down to 5 cars I got half tracked right in the drivers door by a built Impala. I was
sitting still trying to find reverse when he hit me. The steering wheel is about 2 inches from the door now. I
got him DQ'ed for it, but they went crying to the judges about it. It ended up that the judges decided to let us both
go into the feature. I had 4 minutes to get my car ready so I knew I wouldn't have a chance, but since the car ran I
had to go. Since that guy was in the feature too I knew he would get his 3 buddies to help take me out. Off the
start one guy held me and the others hit. The rear stayed good and tough, but the front was gone. I got one good
half track shot at their nose, but then they pinned me. I got held in the corner and the guy that hit me in the door
hit me again. This time he broke the fuel pump off at the motor. I can move pretty darn fast when the flames come.
I even lost a shoe on the way out the passenger side. That's fine, It took 4 of them to take me out so I'll be back
next year and I won't forget their names.
I changed the fuel pump and ended up driving the car off the trailer so I still have a good
motor for next year. WOO HOO!
